NEC MultiSync EA274WMi, a new IPS 2560 x 1440 monitor

The FullHD resolution is being left behind and while the 4K still has a long way to go, WQHD resolution is becoming increasingly common.

The new NEC MultiSync EA274WMi is a 27-inch monitor that uses an IPS panel (with viewing angles of 178 degrees both vertically and horizontally) with a 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) resolution. It offers a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m2 with a contrast of 1000:1 (20,000:1 dynamic) and 8-bit color.

No missing VGA, dual-link DVI, DisplayPort or HDMI connectivity, as expected. It also includes four USB ports, two of them USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0. It also includes manually-controlled buttons to turn it on/off and adjust the brightness level.

Another highlight is its ControlSync system that supports up to 6 monitors simultaneously, capable of synchronizing your settings and applying custom settings to all monitors at once, so they all behave just like you want them to.

It will hit the market by the end of November for about 800 USD, which may translate into about 800 dollars for US.
