The months of June and July promise to be very “effervescent”. Rumors and leaks don’t stop emerging on the web, anticipating the launches that many manufacturers appear to be preparing for the next days. The last of what has been commented states that Nikon could launch in the next few weeks a new Coolpix, probably the P8000, with very interesting features.
The arrival of this compact camera with fixed optics has not been yet confirmed officially by the Japanese company, but this hasn’t stopped that many forums anticipate which will presumably be its specs. Let’s take a look at it.
- Magnesium alloy body
- Aptina sensor of an inch
- Zoom lens 24-120 mm f/1.8-3.0
- Max shutter speed: 1/8.000 s
- EXPEED 3 image processor
- 3 inch LCD Screen
- PASM Mode
- Similar to the Nikon P5100 and P6000 grip
As you can see, it doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, if the launch of this camera is confirmed, it will prove that the main manufacturers are betting on compact cameras with one inch sensors, maybe encouraged by the good reviews received by Sony on its RX10. In principle, we will know for sure no later than mid-June.
