It very long list of changes and new features are oriented mainly to the automatic focus system. The manufacturer will also update the EOS-1D C firmware this November.
Expected to be released in January 2014, Canon has announced the release of the latest firmware update for the EOS-1D X. This is the second version, which will offer a lot of new features and changes for the users of these cameras.
Most of the long list of changes are related to the automatic focus system (like improvements in the tracking mode and the camera’s behavior in dim light environments, as well as new configuration options) and the maximum shutter speed if the sensitivity is set on the default levels, which is now of 1/8.000 s.
Based on the opinions of the users –Canon has stated-, among the new features there’s also the possibility of automatically selecting the appropriate ISO levels from the three default configurations this professional SLR camera offers.
The Canon EOS-1D C is a camera designed for video-recording; it will also be updated, with a new version of the firmware that will be available a couple of months before: this November, in fact. In case you have this reflex camera from Canon, you’ll need to contact tech support in order for your camera to be updated.
Better communication between the camera and the lenses and new audio features–like being able to use various audio sources- are the main new features the users of this EOS camera will enjoy thanks to the new version of the firmware.
