Canon has presented the new camera EOS 80D, as well as the new photographic objective EF-S 18-135 mm f/3,5-5,6 IS USM and the motorized zoom adaptor PZ-E1.
Canon announces today the EOS 80D, a digital reflex camera that can be personalized in many ways and shoots quickly and easily. The EOS 80D has a new 24.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 6 processor, along with a new 45-point AF system, all cross-type, and continuous shooting up to a rate of 7fps.
Canon also announces the photographic lens EF-S 18-135 mm f/3,5-,5,6 IS USM, with the new Nano USM technology, and the optional Motorized Zoom Adaptor PZ-E1, for a smooth zoom control during video recording and remote operation via Wi-Fi.
The EOS 80D is presented as a very fast camera, suitable for capturing intricate details. Its new sensor provides clarity and freedom to cut the scene, while its new all cross-type 45-point AF system and its continuous shooting up to 7 fps allow freezing the action with the upmost precision. For a precise spot focus or tracking over a wide area, the AF points can be selected individually or grouped by areas, which gives you more control over the composition, regardless of where the subject is located in the frame. When making combination of targets with small openings, 27 points F8; -3EV AF allow you to focus, even in the most extreme cases.
Designed for shooting under light changing conditions, this camera has a native sensitive range of 100-16.000 ISO, expandable to 25.600 ISO. The AF system will continue to function even in moonlight (-3 EV). The 7,560 pixels RGB+IR measuring sensor measures both visible light as well as invisible infrared light, which ensures accurate exposures, while the light Blinking Detection ensures consistent exposures when shooting in artificial light. A new White Priority setting also helps to reduce the appearance of warmer tones.
It is possible to easily customize the shooting experience, through controls that give access to the modes and settings most often used. The camera’s Intelligent Visor shows 100% of the frame, in addition to the camera settings. The 7,7 cm (3,0”), variable angle LCD II Clear View touch screen, ideal for shooting videos, in Live View mode, or access different functions.
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology allows for a precise automatic focus and focus tracking. Both the AF speed and the sensitivity for AF tracking are easily adjustable, giving you full control over the speed and the responsiveness of the AF.
It is possible to shoot the camera remotely via your smartphone or tablet, using the EOS 80D with the Canon Camera Connect app. The Wi-Fi and Dynamic NFC built in connections make it easy to connect and share your full resolution JPEG files with your smart devices. You can also connect and control the camera via a computer without the need for a Wi-Fi router, also save, view and share photos and videos from an accessible place, using the Canon Connect Station CS100.
