The Fuji X-E2 continues the legacy of the Fuji X-E1 by incorporating the improvements that we have seen in the Fuji X100S, like the 16-megapixel II APS-C X-Trans CMOS, autofocus system, and target modulation optimizer to combat diffraction and aid manual focusing using the split image system. From the Fuji X-M1 it takes the Wi-Fi module that allows you to share photos wirelessly to your computer or mobile device.
Furthermore, the Fuji X-E2 has the most successful features of its predecessor like the electronic viewfinder and a magnificent contrast of 1:5000. We also have the same magnesium alloy design on top and front of the flash. The body gives a sense of strength even though it is smaller and lighter than the Fuji X-Pro1.
Speaking of the improvements over the Fuji X-E1, the X-E2 takes full advantage of the Fuji EXR II to raise the burst rate to 7 FPS. The shutter delay is reduced to 0.5 seconds. The interval between shots is at 0.5 seconds and offers a shutter lag of 0.05 seconds. But the most evident improvement is the speed of autofocus, which according to Fujifilm reaches 0.08 seconds with the Fujinon XF 14mm f/2.8 R, thanks to the AF phase detection.
The camera also improves image sharpness when working at small openings. This algorithm corrects digital diffraction in all compatible Fujinon cameras compatible with the X mount. Here is the example Fujifilm showed on their official website:

Regarding changes in the body controls, we have to mention the bigger 3-inch screen, the configurable Fn2 button and a new position for the “Q” Quick Start button, located in a more accessible position. The LCD screen resolution reaches one million pixels.
The video is one of the aspects that have been greatly improved in this Fuji X-E2. It can record Full HD video (1920 x 1080) at 60fps and has a bit rate of 36 Mbps.
It also features Wi-Fi connectivity. This feature allows wireless transfer files to your mobile phone, tablet or PC via the free FUJIFILM Camera App. GPS technology makes geo-locating your pictures possible.
The Fuji X-E2 will be available in silver and black versions at a price of 1400 EUR along with the Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 LM OIS.
