Hasselblad puts an end to its line of V cameras with the cessation of the production of the 503CW

After half a century in the market, the legendary Hasselblad V are dismissed permanently from windows. This was confirmed by the Swedish company as they announced the cessation of production of the 503CW, the latest model in this medium format series.

"Everything has its moment in time", Hasselblad makers have pointed out to justify their decision. A measure which comes after five years of decreasing market demand for this model.

The company plans to focus on the H camera system and their collaboration with Sony. The Hasselblad Lunar is the first step in this strategy.
