It’s what everyone has been talking about: these peculiar lenses with integrated sensor from Sony are about to become a reality. That’s what the leaked pictures say, at least; these devices are said to revolutionize the market of mobile photography, and also the compact camera market.
Like we already said in previous articles, these leaks seem to confirm the release of the camera-lenses QX10 and QX100, two zooms with image sensor, battery and Wi-Fi connectivity, so they can be controlled with a laptop or an Android/iOS mobile device.
One of the models features the same lens (28-100 mm f1.8-4.9) and sensor (20 megapixels and 1 inch) than the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II, while the other one features a 10-level zoom and smaller CMOS (1/2.33 inches) and 18 megapixels.
According to the info on SonyAlphaRumors, these peculiar autonomous objectives can work by themselves, or attached to a mobile device with a magnetic system. They also said Sony will officially announce these devices in September.
