The center-corner MTF50% evolution is exemplary and the obtained values are excellent in this Micro 4/3 segment. Going a step further can cost much more.

These are the values that the programs that evaluate MTF at 50% contrast give you by averaging the three RGB channels. Now let’s see what happens with color reproduction, with focus on automatic mode and manual made by Lumix G7.

The assessment that can be made of this lens is extremely positive in all aspects, whether optical, or functional, as well as its cost / quality.

We have already seen the results of all study tests that reflect 45 mm, which is excellent within their typology of use, but without being a superb product, either.

The first surprise in this lens is its small size which fits 100% with the reduction in size of M4/3 cameras. The use of plastic material of good texture and density favors a low weight and, therefore, handling and transport. The surprise continues when you see the pictures, where the central optical quality and bokeh are excellent. If you add that it is not an expensive target (less than 300 €), this 45 mm lens is positioned inside the Micro 4/3 segment as a highly recommended product.

– Overall excellent optical quality for the intended use (centered portraits).

– Excellent construction, handling and finishing.

– Astigmatism visible till f 1: 4.5.
