Although Fujinon objectives line for the X Series is reaching maturity and fewer gaps remain in the roadmap proposed by Fujifilm, there is a classic objective that I am missing in the arsenal of Fuji’s crystals. And precisely from Fujirumors, there has been a leak about a Fujinon XF 90mm f/2, a 135mm luminous teleobjective in full format. It’s the perfect focal for capturing close-up portraits and create beautiful blurs.
According to the rumor web community, the objective would be announced later this year or in January of 2015. If this is confirmed, the Fujinon XF 90mm f/2 would become the perfect photo-taking combination paired with the Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2: The first would be used for closer shots and the second one for medium shots where we want to capture more of the surroundings where our model is located.
